Danville's town department has mutual aid agreements with the surrounding towns. Ambulance service comes from CALEX, which uses the former Danville Rescue Squad building. Danville Fire District No. 1 is the village water system, not the fire department.

The town plan asks the fire chief and selectboard to decide by March 2025 whether to renovate the station or build a new one, and to take part in regionalisation talks.

village districts and contracted coverage cross them. A town line runs out into
the lake, so the shoreline here is the water drawn over the boundary, not the
boundary itself.
Burning
Vermont requires a Permit to Kindle Fire from the town’s Forest Fire Warden for anything larger than a campfire — except where snow covers the ground at the burn site, or the fire is at least 200 feet from anything that will carry flame.
