Vermont Fire Stations

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026.

Vermont Fire Stations has no accounts, no logins, and no forms. There is nothing here to sign up for and nothing for you to fill in, so no personal information is collected from you directly.

The site does use Google Analytics to count visits and see which stations and photographs people actually look at. It records the page you are on, how you arrived, your browser and device type, an approximate location (a city or region, worked out from your IP address, which Google discards rather than stores), and events such as scrolling, following a link off the site, and downloading a file. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser so that repeat visits can be told apart from new ones. There is no advertising here, and none of this data is sold.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on, and most content blockers stop the analytics script from loading at all.

Map tiles are loaded directly from OpenStreetMap's servers as you use the map; their own privacy policy governs how they handle those requests.

Station information, photographs, and locations are sourced from the Vermont E911 dataset (VCGI) and contributed department photos, shown here for informational purposes.

Questions about this policy can be sent via the Contact page.
