Fire protection in Johnson is a village service, paid for by the village tax with a contract from the town and an appropriation from Waterville. The department saves toward trucks and small tools through two capital plans.
New air packs (SCBA) replace the old set, chosen after trials of three vendors' gear at the training facility and paid for from the small-tools capital plan. The department asks for a 3% ($2,643) increase for 2021.
